Scholarship description:

Contest consists of three categories: high school seniors, student currently attending an accredited institution, and affiliated members attending an accredited institution. Requirements: completed application form, 1,500-word essay, three references (one from a labor organization member). Three award levels in each category: 1st - $2,000; 2nd - $1,000; 3rd - $500. Must be a resident of Pennsylvania and a U.S. citizen.
