Scholarship description:

Essay contest on any subject dealing with a humanist perspective. 2,500 words typed and double-spaced. No electronic submissions. One submission per entrant which must be written in English. Submissions become the property of the Humanist. First place winners receive $1000, second place receives $400, third place receives $100. Three awards are given out in two age categories. Two age categories; 13-17 and 18-24. Citizens of other countries are eligible only if they are in North America at the time of the contest.
